Yesterday I began to gather and organize my sources for freelance jobs.  I made a list of the ones I could think of off the top of my head, and I’ve started going through those to cull the ones that don’t really offer what I need.  Once I’ve done that, I’ll start looking for new ones.  I want to have a list that I can quickly run through each morning before I start writing to apply for or claim any new assignments that I might be suited to.  Then, I can get to my writing and spend time working on whatever projects I have on my plate at the time.
I’m still working on getting on a better schedule.  I’ve started getting M. on one, and it seems to be working well.  I’m still having trouble getting her to sleep on time, but I realized last night that it’s because every night before bed she says that she’s hungry, and I just need to make sure to give her something to eat a little earlier so she doesn’t ask for something right when I’m trying to put her to sleep.
I also realized that I wasn’t giving myself enough time in the mornings to write.  On the days I don’t go to the gym (which I still plan to do on Monday, Wednesday and Friday) I plan to give myself until noon to work.  I need time to look for work as well as do my writing, and only giving myself an hour was not nearly enough time to do both.
That’s where things stand for today.  I’m still looking for my next big job now that I finished the children’s book.  I do have a couple of new book reviews coming up.  I still want to get moving on editing my book, and I also would like to start writing some articles or stories so I can start querying magazines.
