I’m starting a new (small) segment today with news from other authors/freelancers/people of note in my life.  I don’t know how often I will do this, I guess it depends on how often I have something to say.  This will just be things I want to draw attention to that are not my own personal accomplishments.  Because it’s not ALL about me.  Or so I’ve been told.

I was reading the March issue of Ladies’ Home Journal, and saw in the “Book Nook” section on page 16 that Eleanor Brown’s book The Weird Sisters is listed.  They only list three books, usually with some sort of theme.  This time the theme is “Family Stories.”  They called her book a page-turner.  It is listed with a book by Louise Dean, a British writer whom I have never heard of but who is apparently popular, and Joyce Carol Oates.  This is Eleanor’s first published novel, and she’s listed with Joyce Carol Oates.  So if you haven’t already, go out and get her book.  That will most likely be the one I buy if I finish this month’s challenge and get to reward myself with a new book.  Unless she wants to send me a copy for review of course (shameless, aren’t I?).  You can follow Eleanor on Twitter as @Eleanorwrites, or visit her site at http://www.eleanor-brown.com/.
